Bringing Indigenous History to Life Through Video

THRIVE video Installation at Arizona Museum of Natural History

I’m incredibly proud to have contributed to a new installation at the Arizona Museum of Natural History, focused on the resilience and ingenuity of the southern tribes of Arizona; the O'odham and the Piipaash. This exhibit explores the sophisticated methods these communities developed to survive in an unforgiving climate—farming, horticulture, and intricate irrigation systems that sustained generations.

Beyond showcasing their resourcefulness, the installation also acknowledges the displacement of these tribes, a vital and often overlooked part of history. Our videos help tell these stories in a dynamic, engaging way, ensuring that visitors connect with the past on a deeper level.

Working on this project was both an honor and a great learning experience. It reinforced my belief that video is a powerful tool for sharing important stories and making history feel real and relevant. I’m always grateful for opportunities to create content that informs, inspires, and highlights the voices of the communities we feature.
